Welcome

This site is a compliment to my commercial site at Legacy-Photo.com as I fealt a little separation of goals was necessary. I hope it will develop into a good resource for information and perhaps image sharing. A channel to help everyone who wants to create images that are visual legacies.

I've been working in the darkroom since around 1978 and have accumulated a lot of information on processes, techniques and materials and while digital imaging is all the rage currently, I believe there is still an intrest in the art of creating a good, durable photograph using the materials and processes similar to those used by the likes of Ansel Adams, Matthew Brady, Edward Weston, W. Eugene Smith, Paul Strand and many, many other historically famous photographers.
