| T-Max 100 is one of the sharpest films ever made. It continues to be the yardstick by which all other films are measured. Even films 2 stops slower have a hard time matching T-Max's fine grain and extreme sharpness. As with any thoroughbred it is slightly temperamental. T-Max films demand constant attention during development with most developers. I personally wouldn't develop this film for less than 10 minutes as any error during that short of a time will drastically effect the image. I rate this film at an EI of 85 for most 'normal' scenes and with most 'normal' developers. Of course any Phenidone based formulas should be tested for film speed as they tend to exaggerate the toe of the film and thereby increase the effective EI of the film. | |
